I graduated from Spring Arbor University in February of 2005, with my Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Social Studies and Elementary Education. I have since the returned to college and just completed the course work for my early childhood endorsement. Last year I started my Masters of Education Program at Spring Arbor University.
This year is my 8
th year at STA. It truly has been some of the best years of my life. I know this year is going to be just as wonderful. Before STA, I was the Preschool and Daycare Director at St. Michael School in Grand Ledge for 2 years. I enjoyed my time there, but I knew that classroom teaching is my true calling.
I have been married for 10 ½ years to my wonderful husband, Francis. Four years ago we welcomed out beautiful daughter, Quinnlyn, into our lives. I never imagined how much love you can feel for such a tiny little life. She is a pure joy for both my husband and I. This year she is a tiny Tartan in the 4 year old preschool program! We currently live in Eaton Rapids and have two awesome Border Collies, Cinder and Ace.
I am also a huge nature nut! I enjoy bird watching in my free time. Owls are my absolute favorite type of bird. I also love hiking, camping, canoeing, flower gardening and anything else that involves being outside. During the summer months I worked for the DNR teaching outdoor education programs for campers and state park visitors.
